In case you didn’t notice the big cheese, Andy is a huge Green Bay Packers fan and has been proudly sporting dark green and gold since 2003. Even though no one in
Andy’s family was a football fan, he decided on his own that he was going to be a Packers junkie during 2003 Wildcard playoffs between the Packers and the Seahawks. That magical game changed Andy’s view on the sport and on his new favorite team forever.
After being born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Andy moved to Phoenix with his family during high school. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from ASU, and had a pretty good idea that he wanted go into Quality Assurance after enjoying a QA class in school. His favorite part about his job is that he gets to work with so many different clients, conducting QA on a variety of assets, so he learns a lot about upcoming events and trends. Plus, he feels like LaneTerralever is an ideal place to work because he can have fun with his colleagues, but also does meaningful work.
When he’s not in the office, you can find Andy exploring the work of astrophysicist Neil Degrasse Tyson, who you might recognize from such shows as Nova and Cosmos. Andy loves learning about outer space, and if he could visit any place in our solar system, it would be Europa, one of the moons of Jupiter, which has shown possible traces of life. The Mauna Kea Observatory in Hawaii and the Hubble Telescope headquarters in Maryland are also on that list.
But Andy isn’t all about the cosmos. He’s a avid chess player and dog lover, especially when it comes to his family’s 90-pound Golden Retriever, Oliver. When he’s working on QA, you might find him with his headphones in, listening to rap (the good kind, that tells a story) like Tech N9ne and The Notorious B.I.G. And, he can solve a 3x3 rubric cube in less than one minute.
So if you see Andy in a meeting or around the office, be sure to give him a high-five and show some love for the Packers.Check out some of the work Andy's been involved with below.
