Summary

In addition to world-class entertainment, MGM Grand is always looking for low-cost events to boost social engagement. So we used Vegas’s reputation for spontaneous weddings to stage an April Fools’ Day prank like no other.

Upon check-in, guests were given printed invitations to visit MGM Grand’s on-site chapel “Forever Grand” to play the ultimate April Fools’ prank on their friends and family. We supplied everything they needed to stage fake weddings 
- even a spouse. Interior signage encouraged participants to check-in and use our hashtag when sharing the news of their “nuptials” so that we could track our results.
