If Upward Projects was a person, they would be the life of every party. The restaurant group that founded Postino WineCafé, Joyride Taco House, Federal Pizza, Windsor, and Churn has a culture that’s fun, funky, and totally authentic.
They came to us with a mission to bring all of that unique brand style forward in a new website that would give users a taste of Upward Projects’ culture, people and restaurants. They also wanted to attract new employees and make it easy for restaurant goers to buy gift cards.
Working side by side with their creative team, we harnessed all of their brand pizazz into a six-page website that’s as visually captivating as it is functional.
Upfront content strategy work was performed to establish the team’s goals. Upward Projects wanted their site to be an expression of their brand, and also to make it easy for users to visit the site on mobile devices, apply for a job, purchase gift cards, and sign up for their email program.
Next, User Experience and Content Strategy team members then went through each page to sketch the visual and communication design, providing an initial outline of how the new site would look and function, and what it should say.
The Upward Projects team then came in to collaborate on the final visual design, providing the color, photos, videos and graphics that would make this site uniquely their own. This was all captured in multiple comps (the layout of our proposed design).
Finally, our Development team took these comps and built the site. Our teams launched the site together in an LT conference room on February 1, 2018. Cocktails were enjoyed shortly after.
